Across Illinois, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. St. Charles is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and St. Charles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Tiny and yet perfect. I had to remove some of the frosting because it is to sweet for me but that's a me thing not to much for the average person. My nieces and friends ate them all up and loved it. The staff was amazing anf patient. Looked like it's pet friendly because the outdoor area had a pet bowl. Inside looked cute with furniture and chairs to sit and enjoy your little donuts. Also I saw a little kid area which was nice.

Decided to make the 1.5 hour drive from Wisconsin to visit the gluten free cafe and I am so glad I did. Every thing was great, even though they were busy pretty much the whole time I was there, nothing took too long to make. The barista (by herself mind you) was making drinks so fast, definitely impressed. If youโre ever thinking of coming here, just do it. I will make this a monthly visit for as long as i am in the Midwest. Thanks for an exceptional birthday treat.

Dangerously delicious!! The first donut we tried here was actually a gluten free donut, which blew my mind as I typically prefer all the glutenโฆ Weโve since experimented with all the donuts to see which one is the best, and are completely fine with this test lasting 2-3 years as we canโt decide on one!

I honestly canโt say enough good things about Brown Butter Cafe. This place has been a favorite of mine since they first opened, and it continues to be one of those local spots Iโm always excited to come back to. The food is consistently amazing. The chorizo bagel sandwich is one of my go-tos, and their breakfast burrito never disappoints. And donโt even get me started on the donuts, every single one is delicious. I try almost every new flavor when they come out because theyโre just that good. The banana bread and cinnamon rolls are also absolute standouts and perfect for treating yourself (or someone else). I often come here for meetings and love the atmosphere. Itโs comfortable, welcoming, and just the right balance of cozy and relaxed. What really sets this place apart, though, is the heart behind it. The owner is incredibly personable and kind, and you can truly feel the care and intention that goes into everything here. I also love picking up treats for others from Brown Butter Cafe because I know theyโll be a nice treat every time. This is one of those local gems Iโll continue supporting and recommending to everyone. So grateful to have a place like this in the community! Wh

This may be a little overdramatic. I was almost brought to tears taking the first bite of these donuts. Itโs been so hard to find gluten-free donuts that are tasty. My three year-old and one year-old devoured theirs plus we also got their breakfast burritos and I got mine with a gluten-free wrap. All the ingredients were perfectly distributed in the wrap and it was so delicious. The staff and atmosphere at the bakery are so welcoming and warm. If I didnโt live 30 minutes away, I would come here every day!
